How To Save A Ruined Comforter Using Duvet Cover Sets

It can happen to anyone you just bought a comforter and now it is ruined. We have all heard this story before, you went out to purchase a very expensive down comforter. Once you brought it home you could not wait to sleep on it and once you did it was the best feeling in the world. Of course you had to show it off to all your friends and family, not really to brag but to let them experience if only for a little while what great taste you had. All of your friends and family had nothing but positive things to say about it.But, after a week all of your love started to show on the comforter and it now had stains covering it. But, you thought not to worry I will just throw it in the wash but, after seeing the dry clean only sticker on the back side of your new bedding you decided that maybe it would be a better idea to just put it on delicate wash. However once the wash was complete it still appeared to have stains on it. Which of course is not good so you decide to put it back in the wash on heavy duty. During the wash you hear loud noises like your washer machine is banging around but you decide to ignore it. Once it is finally done you take out your comforter to find a horrible surprise. Not only are the stains still there but there is a huge rip along the side of it. Frustrated you decide to put the comforter in the dryer and since you spent a few years in the scouts as a child maybe you could still salvage your bedding with your fantastic sewing skills. But, to make matters worst you pull your bedding out of the dryer to find little balls of lint covering every inch of it. Now it is ruined and you decide to just throw it in the trash along with the rest of the garbage.
But before you go and throw away that brand new bed set that you just bought there is a way to salvage it and turn it back into that lovely piece of bedding that you have grown to love. Duvet covers are a great way to not only keep your bedding from being ruined by the elements, kids, dogs, neighbors, or that "friend" of yours that accidentally dropped wine on your brand new bedding. But, duvet cover sets also can salvage what is left of that comforter that would normally be too embarrassing to even lay on top of your mattress. So to truly save your comforter and get as many happy years out of it I recommend using duvet covers, you will be glad you did.
