Twin over full bunk beds often help solve the top-or-bottom challenge that bunk beds often produce. This challenge is that kids are often excited by the opportunity to sleep on the top bunk, which yields problems when both sleepers want the top. In twin over full bunk beds, there is a real tradeoff. Choose the top, and you'll be on top of the world, but only on a twin bed. Choose the bottom and you get a full-sized bed to sprawl out on.
More Beds Than You Can Imagine

A bed is a bed is a bed. Um, not so much. There are more types of beds and mattresses than Carter has liver pills. I didn't realize more than when my last bed collapsed on me and I had to go out and get a new one. If you think shopping for a new auto is tough, try shopping for a new bed with all the options you have. So, how many types of beds are there? Well, let's see. Let's start with your typical twin bed. A twin bed is basically a small bed for one person. Trust me on this. You don't want to try to squeeze two people into a twin bed and if you're really obese you may have trouble fitting into one of these as well.
Then there are your beds for more than one person, which are basically queen and king. Honestly, there is very little difference between the two except that king beds are a little bigger. These are your typical beds that your typical married couple buy. I'll cover variations of these later. Read more
Pick The Perfect Mattress

Finding the right mattress for you is a combination of four factors: comfort, price, size and support.
Firmness is the gold standard for mattresses. Traditional wisdom is "the firmer the better." This however does not mean you have to give up comfort and sleep on a board. Firmer beds provide more support for your body, but many mattresses today have "pillow tops" or other soft surfaces that combine the comfort features of soft mattresses with the support of hard beds.
The size of bed you want depends upon the room you will be putting it in and the size and number of sleepers. The smallest bed is a twin bed, while the largest, a king size bed, is as wide as two twin beds, but longer. A full or double bed is wider than a twin, and a queen size bed is even wider, and possibly longer. Since most people move at least 40 times a night while sleeping, most professional advise a queen or king size bed for couples sharing a bed. However, in small bedrooms a double bed accommodates two while leaving more floor space for walking.
